Introducing OpenWay

Why we are starting a company that builds businesses in developing countries, and what comes next.

Today we are introducing OpenWay. We build companies in developing countries and invest in innovations and startups that create jobs, income and access on the ground.

The gap we want to close

Across many regions, founders have strong ideas and deep knowledge of their markets. What they often lack is patient capital, operating structure and a network that opens doors. Good businesses go unfunded, or leave for places where funding exists.

Two paths, one goal

We work in two ways. We found and develop companies together with local teams, from the first business idea to daily operations. And we take stakes in early-stage startups that solve concrete problems in their region. In both cases, leadership stays with people on the ground.

How we will work

  • Locally led. The people who know the market make the decisions.
  • Long-term. We think in years, not quarters.
  • Fairly shared. Founders and employees hold real equity.
  • Transparent. We will report openly on where capital goes and what it achieves.

What comes next

We are in the early phase: assembling our advisory network, speaking with founders and partners, and preparing our first ventures. We will share progress here.

If you are a founder, an investor or an organization that wants to build with us, get in touch.
